How GroveDeck Runs and Improves Your Cornerstone Platform
You direct. We operate.
You set the direction. What’s in bounds, what’s off limits, that’s your call. The operating is ours. We run your Cornerstone system and keep improving it, so it stays off your plate.
The way we run platforms is our own: the processes, the procedures, and the tooling, built and maintained in house. That tooling uses AI to monitor your system around the clock and to prepare the changes worth making. It doesn’t decide anything. A Certified Cornerstone Expert reviews each prepared change and makes the call inside the limits you set. Nothing reaches your live platform without a person approving that specific change.
None of this is a Cornerstone feature. It runs outside your system and looks after it, on access you control: You provision our access. You define the scope. You revoke it in a click.
How the work runs, around the clock
Five steps, running every hour of every day. Each pass leaves your platform a little steadier than the last.
1. We watch your system
Our tooling holds a current picture of your configuration, permissions, learning assignments, and data feeds, and refreshes it around the clock. It reads what it needs in the moment. It doesn’t copy your training records out of your system.
2. We work out what’s worth changing
When something drifts, or an improvement is worth making, the tooling prepares the change and writes up the reasoning behind it. That goes to a person. It’s a proposal, never an action.
3. A person approves it
A Certified Cornerstone Expert reads the proposal and approves it, reworks it, or brings the bigger calls to you. Nothing reaches your live platform without a person approving that specific change.
4. We do the work
Once it’s approved, we make the change: the config edit, the permissions cleanup, the report rebuild, the UAT pass before a release lands. We change nothing during the blackout windows you set.
5. We tell you what changed
You get it in plain language, on your cadence: what changed, what’s running well, what’s next, what’s waiting on you. There’s no dashboard to chase, and every change stays documented for your auditors.
Then it starts over. The work is ongoing, so your platform keeps getting steadier and more fully used with every pass. The direction stays yours, and you can change it at any point.
What we keep right
Not a vague promise about platform health. These are the specific parts of your Cornerstone setup we keep right, continuously.
- Your configuration. Releases and integrations can quietly shift settings away from what you set. We monitor your configuration against what you intended and run a UAT pass on your key workflows after every release. We restore what you meant. We don’t redesign it without your say-so.
- Access and permissions. Permissions drift as people and teams change. We watch them continuously and clean them up on the cadence you approve, so access matches who should have it well before anyone audits it. Who belongs in a group stays your decision.
- Learning assignments reaching the right people. The right training should land with the right people on its own. We validate that your learning assignments are doing that and flag the misfires before your help desk hears about them. When an assignment needs to change who it reaches, we bring you the change first.
- Reporting you can trust. Reports quietly stop returning what they used to. We check yours against the underlying training records and correct what has drifted, so the completions you report are real. We don’t change what a report counts without your sign-off.
- Your data feeds. Cornerstone works only as well as its links to the systems around it. We monitor your data feeds in both directions and catch a failed run the same day. The systems on the other end stay yours: we work inside whatever access their owners grant.
- Compliance staying current. Certifications and required training have to stay current for every person. We track expirations and surface renewals early, not after they lapse. We report the gap. Chasing a person’s manager stays with you.
Questions about how this actually works
How much of this is AI, and how much is people?
Our tooling uses AI to monitor your system, work out what’s worth changing, and prepare the change. People decide. A Certified Cornerstone Expert, with more than ten years on the platform, reviews each prepared change before it touches your system, and the bigger calls come to you. Nothing reaches your live platform without a person approving that specific change.
Where does our data go, and who stays in control?
Your learner data stays in your Cornerstone system, and the AI we use never trains on it. Our tooling reads what it needs in the moment, works only with credentials you issue, and changes nothing during the windows you set. You provision our access. You define the scope. You revoke it in a click.
How is this different from Cornerstone’s own AI?
Cornerstone’s AI features run inside your system and shape what learners and admins see. Ours runs outside it and looks after it: monitoring, preparing changes, documenting what we did. Which of Cornerstone’s own features are worth turning on is a call we bring to you with the reasoning, rather than making it for you. See managed administration.
Why isn’t there a dashboard to log into?
On purpose. Another login is one more thing to secure and maintain, and we’d rather put that effort into the work itself. You get plain-language summaries on your cadence, and direct access to the Certified Cornerstone Expert who runs your platform. Ask us something in between and you get a first reply within one business day.
