How GroveDeck Runs Cornerstone Tenants Around the Clock
Why we’re showing you this
Most managed services hide their operations behind an account manager. For a service that touches your compliance records and your learner data, that’s the wrong model.
The GroveDeck engine is our delivery model: real internal automation, not a product feature and not AI working unsupervised. The engine handles the watch-and-draft layer; Certified Cornerstone Experts handle review and decisions. That’s what separates us from a consultancy running on tickets and timesheets.
The five stages
1. Monitor
The engine reads your tenant continuously: config, integrations, enrollment jobs, reports, permissions. Drift or failure gets flagged. Nothing waits for a ticket.
2. Draft
For known issue types, the engine drafts the fix with its justification and root cause. Drafts never ship without review.
3. Review
Our Certified Cornerstone Experts check the reasoning, then ship it, reject it, or escalate policy calls to you. Nothing irreversible ships without sign-off.
4. Execute
Our experts make the change at the access you’ve granted, logged: what changed, when, who approved it. That’s the audit trail.
5. Report
At the cadence you set, you get a plain-language summary: what got caught, what got fixed, what’s open, what’s waiting on you. No dashboards to check.
What the engine watches
Specific signals, not a generic “platform health” concept. The things that break and aren’t caught until they cause a downstream problem.
- Configuration drift. Quarterly releases reset settings; integrations write to fields they shouldn’t. The engine flags the delta and re-tests your key workflows after each release.
- Permission anomalies. Privilege creep, orphan accounts, role assignments that don’t match Workday org-chart data. The findings that turn up in security audits.
- Failed enrollment jobs. Auto-assignment rules that aren’t firing. Batch jobs that errored unnoticed. New hires at week three with no onboarding curriculum.
- Broken reports. Reports returning null. Queries that worked before a release. Views referencing objects since renamed or archived.
- Integration health. HRIS sync errors from Workday or SAP. SSO failures. Connectors that stopped returning completion data.
- Content and compliance gaps. New hires missing compliance training. Certifications expiring with no renewal enrolled. Gaps that become audit findings.
What only our Certified Cornerstone Experts decide
- Anything irreversible. Deleting records, archiving users, mass-reassigning curriculum. None of it without Certified Expert sign-off on that action.
- Policy and cutover calls. Edge cases, migration cutovers, major config changes, integration re-wires. Our experts decide, in maintenance windows, with rollback tested.
- Access and data limits. The engine writes only with credentials you control and can revoke any time. It never stores your learner data outside your tenant, and the AI we use never trains on it.
- Your rules. No changes during blackout windows you define. Anything you flag as urgent goes straight to the experts.
Questions about how this actually works
Is AI just doing the work here?
Partly, and the “partly” matters. The engine uses AI to monitor, classify, and draft fixes. Our Certified Cornerstone Experts review every draft before it touches your tenant. Humans decide.
What if the engine makes a mistake in its draft?
The review step exists for this. A draft that misread the situation doesn’t ship. The engine is not autonomous; its drafts are proposals, not actions.
How is this different from Cornerstone’s own AI features?
Cornerstone’s AI features run inside your tenant and affect what learners and admins see. The GroveDeck engine runs outside it and monitors it. We can also help you assess which Cornerstone AI features are worth turning on. See our AI readiness page.
Why isn’t there a customer dashboard I can log into?
Deliberately. A portal adds infrastructure and security surface we’d rather spend on the monitoring work. Instead you get plain-language summaries at your cadence and direct access to the Certified Cornerstone Experts who own your tenant.
The engine never sleeps. Your tenant shouldn’t have to.
Certified Cornerstone Experts are in your system within ten business days of signing. Month to month. We’d rather earn the next month than hold you to paper.
