Cornerstone OnDemand for Higher Education
Where higher ed is different
The August scramble, every year
New hires are enrolled and ready before orientation week, not waiting on a coordinator’s spreadsheet in the first busy days of the term. Higher ed L&D runs on academic-year rhythms most LMS vendors don’t account for: fall hiring in August, spring onboarding in January. We set Cornerstone’s learning assignments to carry those waves on their own, so no one re-does the work each cycle.
Title IX, FERPA, Clery, and the rest
Someone in the provost’s office asks who’s finished Title IX, and the report is in hand the same day, not a week of pulling names. Every adult on campus needs compliance training: Title IX for all employees, FERPA for anyone touching student records, Clery for safety staff. We keep the learning assignments and the records straight, so the answer is always ready.
Accreditation needs the learning record
When HLC, SACSCOC, or MSCHE wants evidence, the record shows staff development and compliance training documented and repeatable, ready to hand over. Faculty, staff, and graduate assistants often sit in separate populations, and a Certified Cornerstone Expert with more than ten years on the platform keeps them straight, so nothing blurs at the seams when an accreditor pulls the file.
Running Cornerstone through the academic calendar
A course still works in week one of fall because GroveDeck Logic caught the configuration drift back in July, before anyone could hit it. Logic runs right through the summer even when your L&D team is at half capacity, and it watches the health of your Workday data feed and any Banner or PeopleSoft feed we’ve custom-built.
A Certified Cornerstone Expert holds the change calendar, and it’s the same Expert every term, someone who knows your setup by name. When a release drops in late summer, they read the notes against your configuration and run UAT before it reaches your users. Nothing breaks during orientation week because we were paying attention in July, and the platform gets a little sharper with each release.
What we bring to higher ed
Managed administration
Day-to-day administration across faculty, staff, and graduate populations. You keep the program work; we take the admin queue.
Workforce readiness
See who’s completed Title IX, who’s overdue on Clery, and where compliance gaps sit, before your reviewer asks.
Content development
Section 508-compliant courseware, accessible on first submission, not after a complaint.
Integrations
Cornerstone connected to your Workday data feed, with Banner or PeopleSoft custom-built, so the academic calendar drives enrollments on its own.
Cornerstone running smoothly before orientation week
A Certified Cornerstone Expert working in your environment within ten business days of signing, and staying with you semester after semester. Month to month. We’d rather earn the next semester than hold you to a contract.
