Cornerstone Workday & SAP Integration Consultant
What clean integrations make possible
New hires enrolled before day one. Training records that match across systems. Reminders and enrollments that run without anyone checking on them. When your data feeds flow cleanly and stay watched, your team stops living in the gap between systems and gets back to the work the platform was supposed to make room for.
Your audit has answers, not surprises
GroveDeck Logic watches your data feeds around the clock. When a feed drifts or an upstream system changes what Cornerstone expects, Logic surfaces it and a Certified Cornerstone Expert fixes it, inside the governance we set together. Your people never find out from a broken enrollment, and your next audit has answers on the first ask.
What we connect and what we automate
Cornerstone ↔ Workday
A new hire, a promotion, a transfer, a termination in Workday, and Cornerstone reflects it the same day: org chart, provisioning, manager hierarchy, all of it.
Cornerstone ↔ SAP
The compliance records your auditor asks for, kept current on both sides. We build the connector Cornerstone doesn’t ship: role-based learning assignments and payroll-adjacent training requirements.
Custom connectors
If connecting a system to Cornerstone saves your people time, we build it, map it, and watch it.
Content library connectors
Learners reach the right LinkedIn Learning, Skillsoft, or Coursera content, and their completions come back into Cornerstone against their training record.
Single sign-on
Learners sign in and it works. SSO with a watched fallback, so when it breaks they get a degraded experience, not a locked-out one.
Recurring automations
The reminders and expiration notices go out on their own. Provisioning, enrollment triggers, and notices run watched, and we correct them the moment they drift.
Cornerstone Workday integration, in practice
When a role change happens in Workday, your people see it in Cornerstone before they’d think to check. Workday stays the system of record; Cornerstone consumes org structure, job profiles, locations, manager hierarchy, and worker status. We map each field once with your HRIS team, document the transformation, and prove it against real training records before anything touches production. Then Logic watches the feed. When Workday’s next release renames a field or a nightly feed runs short, we catch it in the reconciliation, not in a broken assignment three weeks later.
Cornerstone SAP integration runs the same way from a different starting point. SAP SuccessFactors and on-premise HCM rarely ship a clean connector for the records compliance teams need, so we build the middle layer: certifications and role-based learning assignments kept in sync both directions, reconciled on a schedule. The numbers your auditor pulls match on both sides, and after more than ten years of Workday and SAP feeds kept agreeing, we know where they tend to drift first.
Mapped, automated, and monitored
Discover what’s connected
We map every data feed in your system. Most systems have a feed nobody documented, and finding it is the point.
Reconcile current state
Your records line up across systems again. We compare Cornerstone against your data feeds, clear the backlog, and document it so the knowledge lives in the platform.
Automate the recurring work
The busywork stops reaching your team. Provisioning, enrollment triggers, and reminders set inside your governance, tested, then handed to Logic to run.
Monitor for drift
You hear about a problem from us, not from a learner or an auditor. When Workday updates, when SAP changes a field, when a feed shifts a record or a job fails silently, Logic catches it.
Three ways organizations handle integrations
| GroveDeck | Big consultancy | Internal team only | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cornerstone depth | All we do. We know where feeds drift first. | Strong on the HRIS/ERP side; Cornerstone is secondary | Depends on who you have |
| Feed ownership | We build it and run it, same people every week | Built and handed back; you own it after | Built internally, kept up when there’s time |
| Ongoing watching | Around the clock, Logic catches drift first | Not in scope after go-live | When someone raises a ticket |
| Custom connectors | Any system with an API or structured export | Separate SOW, if they do it at all | Depends on internal capacity |
| Contract | Fixed-scope build. Monitoring month to month after. | Project scope; you own it after | Sunk staff cost |
| Who’s accountable | The Certified Expert who signed off | An account manager and a ticket queue | Whoever built the connector, if they’re still there |
Questions we hear most
We already have a Workday consultant. Do we still need you?
Probably for different things. They own the Workday side. We own the Cornerstone side: how Workday’s output feeds enrollment, permissions, and reporting. We partner with your Workday consultants regularly, so nobody’s guessing where one side ends.
Can you fix integrations someone else built?
Yes. Most of our integration work is inherited: a feed built years ago, undocumented, drifted from its spec. We audit it, document it, and get your records matching across systems again.
Can you build a custom connector for a system Cornerstone doesn’t natively support?
If it has an API or a structured export, we can build against it. We’ve connected Cornerstone to payroll, credentialing, and scheduling tools with no native connector.
Is this a project or an ongoing engagement?
Both, in sequence. The build is fixed-scope: mapping, build, and proving it against real records. Once the feed is live, we keep watching it on an annual agreement, and you work with the same people who built it. Quarterly is available at a higher rate.
Your systems agree, and stay agreed. We keep it that way.
You keep ownership of the systems. We take the data feeds between them: built to spec, watched around the clock, fixed before anyone notices. Certified Cornerstone Experts in your system within ten business days, and the same people stay with you on an annual agreement after the build.
What we also do
Migrations: land on Cornerstone from Saba or SumTotal without losing the history you built.
Managed administration: we run Cornerstone day to day so the integrations keep working after launch.
